Industry Expertise Richard has extensive experience in the IT technologies that support financial services. His expertise includes working with a range of hardware, software and networking solutions, including many Internet-related technologies. He has a solid understanding of the design and development of banking software, having worked directly in research and development efforts in several previous roles. In addition to his technical expertise, Richard has applied this knowledge to help solve real-world implementation issues at financial services firms all over the world. He has assisted in the development of strategies related to CRM and Internet-related solutions in a variety of contexts. Background Prior to founding Bell Curve Group, Richard was Research Manager for Retail Banking Delivery Channels at Financial Insights, an IDC company, where he was responsible for the firm's research into the systems, technology, and business strategies for the delivery of retail financial services. Previously, he was the director of e-Banking research at TowerGroup. As an industry research analyst, Richard is responsible for over 50 research studies covering a range of retail and Internet financial industry topics. Prior to TowerGroup, Richard was president of Software1, a software development and consulting firm specializing in systems software and internals, including high availability web servers, WAN and LAN client server systems and high performance file, database and imaging systems. He has taught courses in the management of software development at the University of Massachusetts. He has also held senior development positions at Software Services of America where he was responsible for developing branch and other channel software, Henco Software where he was Vice President of Research and Development and was responsible for development of the firm's data base software, and Honeywell Corporation where he was Director of Software Systems Definition and was responsible for the definition and functionality of the firms operating systems. |
