Monitor reports provide a comprehensive analysis of the availability and performance of your site including important information on

• Site reliability and availability
• Site performance
• Problem resolution times
• Availability and performance of all content delivery systems
• Business partner service levels
• Benchmark comparisons

The exact content of the report varies depending on your Monitor service level and options. The report contains three sections

• Executive summary: The easy to understand executive summary provides an overall assessment of the site, notes any important issues, and highlights any benchmark issues. The executive summary is intended to provide executive management with a high level independent view of the site.
• Benchmark details: This marketing oriented section of the report provides comparisons of your site to the Monitor Benchmark.
• Monitor details: This more technically oriented section of the report provides supporting details for the results in the executive summary.

Each of these sections are described more fully below.

Executive summary

The executive summary provides a quick easy to understand executive oriented overview that includes

• Overall grade and industry ranking for your site
• Summary of your site's availability and performance with any issues or concerns noted
• Benchmark comparisons of your site to the Monitor Benchmark industry average, segment average, and your specific competitors (depending on your Monitor service level.

Benchmark Details

The benchmark section provides market oriented information that compares your site to Monitor Benchmark sites.

• Comparison of your site to the Monitor Benchmark financial services industry benchmark. This includes summary benchmark comparisons for all financial service institutions in the Monitor Benchmark and leading non-financial industry sites included in the Monitor Benchmark.
• Comparison of your site to the Monitor Benchmark results for financial service institutions in your market segment. This comparison is included in reports Monitor², Monitor³, and Monitor⁴ customers.
• Comparison of your site to the specific competitors you identified.  This comparison is included in reports Monitor³ and Monitor⁴ customers.

Monitor Details

The details section of the report includes roughly 20 plus pages of supporting analysis and details that

• Provide important insights into the various availability and performance measures that are driving your site's performance
• Identify important site availability and performance trends
• Provide early detection of possible site problems

Here are some examples of the information contained in the reports.

URL grades and ranks based on response time statistics and distributions

The report includes a grade for each URL's availability and performance. The grade is based on response time distributions and statistics. The grade algorithm is derived from an analysis of over 500,000 tests of Internet financial services sites. It provides an absolute measure of the availability and performance of the URL. The ranking score reflects how your URLs compare to the Monitor Benchmark.

URLs are also ranked against the Monitor Benchmark to evaluate them against Industry best practices.

Response time statistics

This easy to understand graphical chart provides important statistics on how your site is performing. If your Monitor service includes competitive URLs, you can quickly see how your site compares to others.

 

Response time distributions

These charts go beyond the statistics and provide a more detailed picture of the URL's availability and performance.

Cumulative response time analysis

This chart gives you a clear picture of what your customers experience compared to the Monitor Benchmark.
 
 

Raw response times

These charts provide detailed information on your URLs performance over time.
